Cindy Butler, MSN, RN, APRN, PMHNP-BC
Cindy's been a registered nurse for more than 25 years. Her nursing background includes critical care, corrections, renal and telemetry nursing. She served in the United States Navy from 1997 to 2002 and then as a Commissioned Officer in the United States Public Health Service from 2005 to 2022.
While stationed at Fort Stewart, GA working as an RN case manager for high-risk Soldiers who had been hospitalized for mental health reasons, Cindy decided to pursue further education. She earned her MSN from the University of Alabama at Birmingham in 2013 and was board-certified as a PMHNP in early 2014. Initially, she worked on an Embedded Mental Health team as the sole prescriber for the 3rd Sustainment Brigade of the 3rd Infantry Division. She later transitioned to the inpatient ward, and then was selected and served as the Director of Psychological Health for two years before transferring to Naval Medical Center San Diego. There, she worked with Sailors and Marines on limited duty for mental health reasons, providing direct patient care, along with care coordination. She retired from active duty service on January 1, 2023.
In addition to establishing and working at Advanced Psychiatric Wellness A Nursing Corporation, Cindy also works part-time at a crisis stabilization unit and an inpatient psychiatric ward.
Ashley Butler
Ashley earned her Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from California State Polytechnic University, Pomona, in 2010. She further enhanced her expertise by completing a Medical Billing and Coding Certificate program at Santa Barbara City College in 2018. With a diverse background that spans administrative roles to direct patient care as a nursing assistant, in a psychiatric facility, specializing in extreme mental health cases with children and adults. She leads with empathy and understanding, always ready to listen and support. Growing up in a military family, Ashley has a unique insight into the lives of service members, bridging the gap between civilian and military communities.
Ronnie Butler, BSN, RN
Ronnie is a registered nurse with a background in medical-surgical and home health nursing. He obtained his Bachelor of Science degree in nursing from Georgia Southern University in 2017. He provided nursing care for hospitalized patients with acute and chronic illnesses and injuries as a staff nurse at Pioneer Memorial Hospital in Imperial County, CA. As a home health nurse, he collaborated with a multidisciplinary team to provide compassionate care to individuals suffering from chronic illness and disease including ALS, muscular dystrophy, and Alzheimer's. He's also volunteered through the American Red Cross at NMRTC-SD and at Winn Army Community Hospital, Fort Stewart, GA. Prior to pursuing a career in nursing, Ronnie served in the US Marine Corps from 1980 to 2001 and as a civilian servant from 2002-2012.
