Tricare Active Duty Referrals

For referring providers and/or active duty service members wishing to be referred:

1) Please ensure your referring provider specifies Psychiatrist OR Psych NP, or you may have problems being assigned to Advanced Psychiatric Wellness.
2)  Referral text could include the following:
"Please refer to Psych NP or Psychiatrist. Service member requests assignment to Cindy Butler at
Advanced Psychiatric Wellness, 16466 Bernardo Center Drive, Suite 188, San Diego, CA 92128.
Appropriate for in-person or virtual treatment. Business NPI: 1093436784, Provider's NPI: 1144645094.

3) Patients or providers with questions can call RN/Patient Care Coordinator Ronnie at (858) 504-2308.
4) Active duty service members should call Tricare at 1-844-866-9378 to ensure the referral was actually assigned to Cindy, and obtain the authorization number.  If it was assigned to someone else and they desire to instead see Cindy, they can request a change through the Tricare. 
5) Referrals have not been sent to the provider from Tricare, so we rely on patients to call us after they have been referred and approved.
